If you have any existing Zyxel firewall - or any existing third party firewall* then you can now order the latest model Zyxel Zywall USG100 appliance for just £375+vat (£431.25 whilst vat is 15%). This is compared with Zyxel's published RRP of £542+vat.
The new range of "USG" UTM appliances from Zyxel have much higher performance than the outgoing series, faster CPUS, gigabit ports, all makign for more throughput, and faster processing of UTM filters such as gateway anti-virus, application firewall, etc. The units also include not only IPSec VPN capability but also SSL-VPN and L2TP.
The application-specific firewall enables you to control such thigns as file sharing, social websites, etc., without having to spend tedious time working out ip addresses and port numbers, only to find that the services are port-agile.
Seven gigabit ports can be assigned as required, including true DMZ, and a second WAN port for dual-internet connections, which you can then use in either a fail-over or a load-balance (or both) configuration.
The unit is desktop or rack mountable, 19" rackmount "ears" are included.
The USG100 features a 5 year warranty as standard! This includes free firmware upgrdes as and when such are required.
