If you need to send and receive faxes, but you don't have a machine, read this!

We have a soft-fax service which is far cheaper than buying a fax machine and renting a fax line, and much more powerful. Here's how it works.
You pay a small annual rental for the service. This gets you a geographic or non-geographic number for as long as you want. You never have to change it if you move house or office.
Rental
A geographic number (you can choose any dialling code, e.g. 01494, 020, 0114...) costs you just £25 per year.
A non-geographic number (e.g. 0844) will cost you just £15 per year.
This price includes all incoming faxes! If you only ever receive faxes there's no more to pay!
Incoming faxes are delivered to you as attachments to an email. You can choose and change the email address faxes are sent to, at any time, via the web control panel, or by asking us to change it for you.
Outgoing faxes are sent as an email, so, again, you can send faxes from anywhere you have internet access. The price for sending a fax depends on the destination. How it works is, you buy a stack of credits, you can choose how many to buy at once so you can tune this to your anticipated use. Each fax sent is charged against your credits. Typically a 1 page fax to a UK geographic number costs one credit.
Credits cost from 9p each to as low as 4.6p each if you buy over 5000 at once.
Features
Your costs for fax paper, ink, etc., are zero.
Your faxes are secure. Never again is a fax lost because it fell on the floor under the machine or someone else picked it up by mistake - or on purpose. Or because you threw it in the bin. It's a PDF file on your PC, you can copy it, back it up, etc.like any other file.
You are never engaged. Our system can receive thousands of faxes at once, your individual number isn't tied to a particular line so if three people try to send you a fax at the same time, you get three faxes at the same time.
If you want more than one number, you can have them. You can have a "personal" fax number for each key member of staff, for each department, or even for each advertising campaign.
You can send the same fax to one or multiple recipients with a single action. And again because we have thousands of lines, we can send them all at the same time, instead of one after the other. No more standing at the fax machine feeding the same fax in over and over, or trying to work out how to use your fax machine's group-send features.
If you wish to use your existing fax number on this service we can "port" it, there's a small charge for this and it takes a few days. To use a new number, we can set you up in minutes!
