The problem

BCA is a small company and they decided that one way to cut costs in the recession period was to stop renting offices in town and work from one of their homes. The house had enough room for their two desks and necessary equpment, they just needed to make sure they had reliable communications.

BCA approached Wizards for their broadband requirements as we supplied the broadband to their offices and they were familiar with our services. But they also wanted to order two more phone lines so they could have a phone on each desk.

Wizards' solution

BCA wasn't going to be a heavy user of internet bandwidth, they just need email and the occasional web page. So we knew they'd have plenty of bandwidth to spare for VOIP.

We suggested they buy two of our FeaturePlus phones.

This gives them a top quality business style phone on each desk with caller display, handsfree, headset support, call history display, and it gives them all the features you would expect from a "full" PBX based office system, pick up and pass calls between the extensions, forward calls to any number in the world, three-way conferencing, voicemail, and  CTI integration including a web control panel to set up call diverts, company-wide and personal phone directories, access voice messaging, and PC software to give on-screen caller display and click-to-dial both stand-alone and linked to MS Outlook.

The install cost including the phones was the same as the setup cost of two new BT lines, the rental is slightly cheaper than the BT line rental would have been, and the functionality of the system is far better than would otherwise be possible with just two ordinary phone lines and basic consumer phones.
