Transferring your domain TO Wizards

To transfer your domain to us... first we advise you call and chat about what you want so we can be sure to set up our systems to catch your domain properly when it arrives and make the changeover as seamless as possible - in particular to make sure no email is lost or bounced during the handover process and that your website remains on line!

UK domains

To change a UK domain to our hosting, you should ask the current host to change the Nominet "tag" to "WIZARDSLTD". You should also ask them to keep your domain on line on their systems for a couple of days - most IPSs do this out of courtesy and by default but some delete it off their systems as soon as the transfer request is in the system - and this can cause loss of service!
Once the tag is changed, we can move the domain onto our name servers. Which will be ready to receive it because, as mentioned above, you'll have called us first for a chat and we'll have set things up ready!

Other domains

COM, NET, ORG, EU, FR, and others can be hosted. The transfer process differs depending on where the domain is currently hosted, different hosting systems work in different ways. So give us a call, give us the name of the domain, and we can investigate how it's hosted and tell you waht to expect for the transfer process. Normally this involves us "importing" the domain, which will cause a robot somewhere to send you an email asking you to confirm the transfer is OK, and you have to acknowledge by following the procedure set out in that email within a couple of days.
