0300 0303 and 0333 numbers
What are 0300, 0303 and 0333 numbers?
There are new numbers now appearing in the UK starting with 03. These are intended for companies and organizations who have a national purview - just because your office is in a particular town doesn't mean you need to have a dialling code for that town. So if you run National Widgets PLC from your posh new office in Milton Keynes, or from a back bedroom in Clacton, you can now have an 0333 phone number.
0300 numbers are reserved for charities, public-sector and not-for-profit organizations. and you should check your eligability for these numbers on Ofcom's website before applying - or ask us to help.
0303 and 0333 numbers are available to any company or organization operating nationally.
How do I order numbers?
Just give us a call on 01494 837515. We can quickly take you through the options available, find a number you'll like, and register it for you within minutes! You could be taking calls on your new number by the end of the day.
What does it cost to run?
There's a one-off fee for registering the number. This only significant if you want what's called a "golden" number, these are numbers with lots of repeat digits (e.g. 0333 333 3333 !!) that are easy to remember when you see them on an advertising hoarding or the side of a truck. "Ordinary" numbers don't attract this premium setup fee.
The recurring costs are... nil! BUT you can't use the number without attaching it to a service, which may have a charge associated with it. See below.
How do I use a number?
In order to receive calls on your new number you need to attach it to one of our services. This can be as simple as forwarding calls to your existing phone line or VOIP service, or you can use our popular Inbound Call Routing service for total control and reporting.
Can I keep my old number?
Yes if you want to! It's very flexible and entirely up to you.
You can put a "we've got a new number" message on the old number...
Our new office isn't in the same dialing code area?
You can still keep it. We can put your old number on our Inbound Call Routing service and have all calls forwarded to your new number automatically!
How much does it cost people to call my 03 number?
03 numbers cost the same to call as 01 or 02 numbers. They are not "premium" numbers. They are included in any "package" deal that has pre-paid "free" minutes to landlines. A call to an 03 number costs exactly the same as a call to any other UK landline other than "local" calls. (Unlike, say, 0845 and 0844 calls, which are often NOT included in a call-allowance bundle so cost extra.)
I have more questions!
